Getting started
What is PeakCut?
PeakCut is an AI creator platform. It turns long videos and streams into short vertical clips, and it also generates videos from scratch — branded ads with an AI presenter, faceless story explainers, and full teleprompter-based channels — with voice, sound, captions and translation added automatically.
Do I need editing or video skills?
No. There's no timeline to learn and no software to install. You upload a video or film loose takes, and PeakCut does the cutting, captions, sound design and publishing for you.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. You can start for free — clone a voice, make a clip or generate a video — and upgrade for more hours and higher limits, or top up a pay-per-video balance whenever you need it.
When does the beta open?
The public beta ships before the GTA VI launch on Nov 19, 2026. Waitlist members get in first in signup order, and referrals move you up the queue.
Clipping long videos
What can I turn into clips?
Any long-form video — Twitch and YouTube streams, VODs, podcasts, webinars, interviews and gaming sessions. Paste a link or upload a file and PeakCut clips it automatically.
How does it find the best moments?
It combines four signals — audio peaks, chat spikes, in-game events and an LLM analysis of the transcript — to detect the highlights a human clipper would pick, then scores and ranks them so the strongest clips rise to the top.
How is this different from Opus Clip or Eklipse?
Generic clippers mostly listen to audio and the transcript. PeakCut also reads your chat (spikes and emote bursts) and watches the game itself — deaths, clutch moments, wanted stars — so it catches highlights that never register on a waveform.
Are subtitles and translation included?
Yes. Every clip is reframed to 9:16 and gets animated karaoke-style captions burned in automatically, and PeakCut can translate the captions into other languages.
AI videos, presenters & voice
Can PeakCut make videos with no footage at all?
Yes. Content Studio builds a consistent AI presenter, outfit and location once, then turns a line of text into a finished branded video. Story videos generate faceless explainers from a prompt, with stock or generated visuals.
Is the AI presenter a real person?
No — presenters are fully AI-generated and don't exist in real life, so there are no model fees, releases or reshoots. The same face and voice stay consistent across every video.
How does voice cloning work?
Record about ninety seconds of speech, or upload a sample, and PeakCut builds a voice model that keeps your timbre, pace and accent. You can clone up to four voices and reuse them across every project.
What languages are supported?
Your cloned voice and your videos can be produced in multiple languages with native accents — you can hear real voice samples on the Voice Studio page before you sign up.
Publishing & rights
Which platforms can it publish to?
YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and X. You can publish to YouTube directly, or download the finished clips and videos with per-platform captions and post them yourself.
Do I keep the rights to my content?
Yes. Your footage stays yours, and the clips and videos you create are yours to use. We never post anything without your approval.
Can I use the videos commercially?
Yes. PeakCut is built for brands and creators to produce commercial ads, product videos and social content that you own and can publish anywhere.
Plans & billing
How does pricing work?
There's a free plan, monthly subscriptions with more hours and higher limits, and a pay-per-video balance you can top up for generation — AI ads, robo-blogs, stories and voice clones. See the pricing page for current numbers.
What's the difference between plans and pay-per-video?
Subscriptions cover clipping hours and platform limits; generated videos (robo-blogs, cinema renders, stories, voice clones) are charged per video from a credit balance, so you only pay for what you render.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are month-to-month with no lock-in, and your pay-per-video balance is used only when you generate something.
Privacy & trust
Is my data private?
Your uploads and generated media are stored securely and are only used to produce your content. We don't publish or share anything without your approval.
Is PeakCut affiliated with Rockstar Games?
No. PeakCut is an independent tool for creators and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
